Lloyd Williams was born in Roswell New Mexico (which may explain his since of humor. His music career started in the 1st grade when he played mandolin in the school program, though he doesn’t play it now.
He was raised in California but later moved his family to Oklahoma in 1982. It was after his move to Oklahoma that he became interested in Bluegrass music. He loves most music that can be called music. He was encouraged by the Lindsey Family closeness and the way they watch out for each other. It was Ronnie & Janis Lindsey that asked Lloyd to become apart of “From The Heartland”. Lloyd played rhythm guitar for his Dad. His Dad was an old time fiddle player. He gives full credit of what talent he possess to his maker and love & encouragement from his Mom, Dad, and family members. Lloyd was born in 1945 and in a Veteran of the Vietnam Era War.
