Carl Brown
Born in Cleveland Ohio, started playing rhythm guitar at the age of 16, with the help of Joe Noel who later started the Dixie Ramblers which in part became the Dillards. Moved to western Pennsylvania with Joe & his family and started learning banjo. After a 4 year tour in the Air Force, it was back to bluegrass music, in Indiana. Enjoying festivals at Bean blossom, & in Michigan and Ohio. Moved to Oklahoma & started playing the Larry Ford Bluegrass Band. Then later to play with Freddie Base & Highway 37 boys. Started playing dobro & electric lead guitar, then met Janis Lindsey who started singing with them & playing drums & upright bass when needed. Kenny Terral played mandolin with them from time to time. That’s when they formed the bluegrass band “From The Heartland”. We started working on songs for a CD, they Called Mary Mayhew to play fiddle with them and before long they had cut a CD, “Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven”
